Dano
Pendygrasse.
Media, Photography and more.
Any
conversation about Canadian action sports
photographers quickly includes
Dano Pendygrasse. In the almost
20 years since Dano started documenting the birth
of the snowboard scene in Whistler, his name has
become synonymous with excellence in snowboard
photography. Born and raised in BC, his work has
always been influenced by the stunning natural
environment of his home province.
A generalist in an era of one trick ponies, Dano has been published around the world in dozens of publications. He spent time as a staff shooter for both Transworld Snowboarding Magazine and Snowboarder Magazine before being recruited in 2004 to serve as the Founding Photo Editor of Future Snowboarding Magazine in San Diego, California. While there Dano honed his studio skills and added product photography to his list of skills.
Lately Dano has been concentrating on his passion for underwater photography.
Work on this website is reproduced from negative film, chromes, and digital media. Although he has created images using many different formats and systems, the vast bulk of Dano's work has been accomplished with Nikon cameras.
